Welcome to St. James Parish 4-H! 4-H provides a unique environment where youth can try new things, make new friends, and discover new possibilities. Through 4-H, your child will explore leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and community service. The values and skills that youth gain as a 4-H’er will help them become their best selves today and in the future. 4-H gives youth the chance to discover what they want to do and who they want to be, to connect with others in a supporting environment, and to take action to make the world a better place. It also provides the foundation they need to fearlessly make their own path in the world.

We are excited to start the 2026-2027 school year and look forward to having a year filled with fun parish wide events for youth and adults. There is something for everyone in 4-H, from hands-on science experiments and art activities to exploring the outdoors and community service. There are also opportunities for youth involvement in 4-H beyond the parish level at regional and state camps such as Challenge Camp, LOST Camp, Food and Fitness Camp, Summer Camp and 4-H University. On the parish level some of our popular events include Lego STEM Camp, Party with the Pumpkins, Safety and Health Day and Pet Show just to name a few. Outside of our parish school club meetings we offer projects clubs that focus on a specific content area that either meet monthly or the project is completed at home. These clubs include Shooting Sports, Livestock, Jr. Leaders, Cooking club and Sewing club.

Meanwhile, young people can join 4-H right now and get started on their 4-H journeys. 4-H Online will be utilized once again to enroll all Cloverbuds and 4-H members in the St. James 4-H Program. Paper forms will also be available to every child this year. Once a parent/guardian completes a paper enrollment form they can submit it to the school club leader or 4-H Office. Our staff will input all paper enrollments in our system. If you choose to enroll in 4-H Online, parents/guardians will go to v2.4honline.com and follow the instructions on the following page. Please make sure that ALL INFORMATION is included and follow the online enrollment instructions carefully. Thanks to our supporters at Marathon Pipe Line, 4-H enrollment is FREE for ALL 3rd-12th graders in St. James Parish for the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you to Marathon Pipe Line for their generous donation and continued support in the 4-H program and our youth. Our first 4-H club meetings of the year will begin in September.
